The Hammerhead
Heavy nose, zooms forever.
The Hammerhead has a thick, weighty nose from extra folds. That heavy front helps it slice through air and keep going — the king of outdoor distance contests.
How to fold it
Use a US Letter or A4 sheet. Take your time on the first crease — every other fold depends on it.
- 1
Fold the paper in half the long way, then unfold.
- 2
Fold the top corners in to the center crease.
- 3
Fold the point down to make a blunt top.
- 4
Fold the top corners to the center to make two new corners.
- 5
Fold the little triangle poking out up to lock it.
- 6
Fold the top edge down about an inch.
- 7
Fold the top edge down two more times (this is the heavy nose).
- 8
Flip the paper over and fold in half along the center.
- 9
Fold the wings down, leaving a thick body.
- 10
Open the wings into a T-shape.
- 11
Check the nose — both layers should be equal thickness.
